What is Tally?
AI trading and risk management tools to help you run your trading like a business. Keep your trade ideas, risk budget, evidence, exit rules and decision history together in Claude, ChatGPT and Tally. Optional rules-based strategy execution on supported simulated Propr accounts is authorized separately in Tally.
Does Tally trade through my AI?
No. MCP tools read and update journal records. Creating, arming or closing a thesis does not place, authorize or close a brokerage order. You handle actual execution separately.
What can I use for free?
Create up to 3 active theses and 10 total theses. Drafts count toward both allowances. Closing or abandoning a thesis frees an active slot, but your total-created count does not reset. History stays readable and existing theses stay reviewable and closable, including if you are already over the limits.
What does Sentinel add?
For $9/month or $49/year, there is no active or total thesis creation cap, and supported monitoring covers your active journal. Cancel from Settings. Available data sources determine what can be monitored; not every written criterion can be checked automatically.
What does Connected add?
$89/month includes Sentinel plus read-only broker connections, automatic holdings and recent transaction snapshots, and saved broker context in your AI checkup. Tally checks hourly; provider data can be cached and transactions are usually delayed by one day. Automatic trade-to-thesis matching is planned, not enabled. When the plan ends, new reads stop and broker access is removed.
Can I use Claude or ChatGPT?
Yes, on every Tally plan, including Free, through the Tally MCP connector. Availability and permitted tools depend on your AI app, plan and workspace settings. If an action is unavailable there, you can manage the journal directly in Tally.
Is the cooling-off period required?
No. A complete thesis can be ready as soon as you save it. You may choose a 24-hour cooling-off period. A draft is unfinished and cannot be armed until complete.
What happens when my thesis is wrong?
Review the evidence against the criteria you wrote. Log which criterion fired and your decision. Discretionary closes require a written reason so the record reflects what actually happened. Closing a journal thesis never closes a brokerage position.
Are my theses public?
No. You explicitly choose whether to publish a shareable receipt. The connector only retrieves a public receipt link after you have published it.
Where did the Propr agent go?
Existing optional Propr accounts and controls are under Settings → Optional Propr agent. Your connection, trading history and account protection are preserved. The journal does not require a Propr account.
